Austin Pool is the new 2016 Arkansas State Fair Senior Vocal Solo winner. Austin traveled to Little Rock Wednesday, October 19, to represent Izard County in the talent contest, winning the title of Northeast Arkansas State Fair Regional Sr Vocal Soloist. This is the second year in a row, that Austin has won this title. This win, qualified him for the final four in the state. All regional winners came back to vie for the overall Arkansas State Champion title this past Saturday. During the final night of competition, Austin had to sing the same song that he sang in the county and regional fair competitions, Ol' Red by Blake Shelton. Austin is a 2016 graduate of Calico Rock High School. He is the son of Chad and Kish Pool of Calico
