Today several school districts in Arkansas received emails of a threatening nature from an unknown sender.  At this time the email has not been connected to Calico Rock School District accounts.

The Arkansas State Police have traced the origin of these emails and have determined that they were sent from a server overseas, and the threat has been determined not to be credible.

The authorities will continue to research this issue, and while we do not believe the threats are credible, we do take them very seriously, as student safety is our top priority.

Our community and school personnel have always been diligent in maintaining the safety of our children.  Suspicious activity or threatening communication will be taken seriously and reported to the authorities.  Please do not hesitate to report suspicious persons or activity on our campuses.
