Thanksgiving Holiday

The Calico Rock School District will not be in session from Wednesday, November 27-Sunday, December 1 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.


Project Grad Meeting Rescheduled

The Project Grad Meeting for all seniors and parents that was scheduled for tonight at 5:30 at the high school cafeteria has been rescheduled for Monday, December 2 at same time and place.


Harvest Supper

The FFA Harvest Supper will be this Friday, November 22 at the Elementary Cafeteria.

From 4:30-7:00 you can drop by and get a home cooked meal that includes turkey, dressing, potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and a drink.

$10 per meal everyone welcome and we will have to go trays available.


No Tutoring or KIAP November 25-29

There will be NO KIAP or Tutoring on November 25-29.

Jensen exemplifies a strong work ethic in the classroom and on the basketball court. She is a dedicated student who is always working to achieve the highest level of  success in the classroom as well as improve her skills daily in the gym.

Calico Rock Elementary recognized as Beating the Odds

Congratulations! CALICO ROCK ELEMENTARY has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds, because students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch! As you may know, the OEP creates an annual report entitled the Outstanding Educational Performance Awards, recognizing schools with high student growth. We think growth is the best indicator of the positive impact that your school is having on students.


Junior Beta Induction

Junior Beta Induction will be on Dec 11, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at the high school cafeteria.  Formal invitations are to go out on Friday.

Tonight's games have been cancelled

Tonight's games with St. Joe have been cancelled due to inclement weather and will be rescheduled.


Late Bus

Mr. Jeffery's bus will be running a few minutes late


Salem Games Tonight Cancelled

Junior games tonight 11/11/2019 at Salem have been cancelled due to inclement weather.


Early Dismissal

Calico Rock School will be dismissing at 2:30 today due to impending inclement weather. 


Veteran's Day Ceremony

The Calico Rock Elementary and High School Gifted and Talented Program, taught by Kish Pool, put on the 3rd Annual Veteran's Day ceremony honoring our Hometown Heroes.

There were 25 Hometown Heroes in attendance along with over 100 Veterans named and displayed on the Wall of Honor which will be located at both campuses.  All faculty, staff and students attended the ceremony which was held at the elementary auditorium.  

This year's special guest speaker was Sgt. Ranger Roy Barree.

Student of the Week!

Michelle McDonald- 8th grade

Michelle is a very friendly and hard working student. She works very hard to be the best student she can be and be the best at her extracurricular activities she can be. Michelle is very dedicated to her music/dance and is an active and loud member of the pirate band. She also loves talking with many fellow students before school, during lunch, and whenever possible.

12th grade Parent Meeting Monday

12th Grade Project Grad meeting will be Monday at 5:30 in the High School Cafeteria.  If you are a senior or a senior's parent please make plans to attend.
