The Calico Rock School District will be out of school for the holidays form Monday, December 23 until Friday, January 3. 

Classes will resume on Monday, January 6.

We would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The high school will be administering semester exams on Thursday, December 19 and Friday, December 20.

Student of the Week!

The Elementary Dance Team will need to be at the High School at 6:00 tonight.

They will be dancing in the 2nd game tonight in western wear to "Git Up".

The Band/Choir will have their Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 12 starting at 6:30 at the Elementary Auditorium.  Everyone come out and enjoy the entertainment.

Logan Leisure- 11th grade

 

Logan has shown much improvement the last couple of years. He is dedicated in his academics, respectful to others and a hard worker. I think he is maturing into a fine young man.

Monday, December 9th, we will have a financial aid night at the high school library. We invite any seniors and parents that need help completing the FAFSA process to come.  The FAFSA is required for any financial aid for students going to college.  There will be representatives from Ozarka's financial aid department on hand to help with any questions there might be.  You can drop in anytime between 4:30-6:30.  We will have computers available, but to make the process easier, please have a copy of your 2018 taxes.  Hope to see you there!

There are still plenty of names on the angel tree at the elementary.  If you are willing to sponsor a child by taking a name and providing some gifts so they will have a Christmas, please come by the elementary and choose as many names as you feel led to take.  Thank you for your generosity at this time of year.  So many children are in need.

Everyone come out and support the Class of 2020 while letting your little ones meet the GRINCH! 

There will be a Pancake breakfast at the High School Cafeteria Saturday morning 7:00 am to 10:30 a.m.  Bring your appetite and bring your little ones so they can have BREAKFAST WITH THE GRINCH!

Thursday, December 5-Character Day (Dress like your favorite TV, book, etc. character)

Friday, December 6-Black & Orange Blitz

            Other activities include: Friday, December 6--School Pep Rally at 12:45 p.m. and Ice Cream Social at 1:30 p.m.

            The Calico Rock Homecoming Royalty will be announced AFTER the Junior Boys game which begins at 5:00 pm. The Calico Rock Pirate Jr. Boys will take on the Bruno-Pyatt Patriots at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by the announcement of Homecoming Royalty (approximately 6:00-6:15 pm).  The Sr. Boys will hit the hardwood after the Homecoming ceremony followed by the Sr. Girls to complete basketball action for the night.

            Members of the Homecoming Court include: 7th Grade Representatives: Luke Moody & Ashlyn Mann, 8th Grade Representatives: Wyatt Littrell & Dakota Stewart; Freshmen Representatives: Barrett Fountain & Patience Elledge, Sophomore Representatives: Dalton Owens & Maddie Elledge, Junior Class Representatives: Draven Hudgens & Zoie Stapleton; Senior Class Representatives: Payton Cox, Joseph Grigg, Kaleb Walker, Chase Fountain, Jude Lindsey and Kate Shinn. 

Following the games, the CRHS Student Council will host a dance for students until 11:00pm.  Cost for the dance is $3.00.

            Pirate fans are strongly encouraged to come out in full force, enjoy Homecoming festivities, and cheer on the Pirates as they take on the Bruno-Pyatt Patriots!
