Today, students received their midterm grade reports for the 2nd nine weeks. Parents can check with your students or their backpacks to see those! 

Also, a reminder that Angel Tree forms were due today but we will accept those on Monday. If your family could benefit from being a part of the tree, please get those papers returned on Monday!

EAST students are collaborating with the Little Rock Zoo to design innovative carnivore feeders and a drying rack for the veterinarian clinic, driving positive change through creative problem-solving. Today, they presented their mockups to zoo staff, taking a significant step towards bringing their vision to life.

The Calico Rock School District will not be in session on Monday, November 10.

Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 11.

In celebration of Be a Teacher Day, which was October 9th, we held an assembly this week to celebrate our teachers and encourage students to consider the teaching profession. Special thanks to Ashley Lewis and Coach Tanner Hoskinds for speaking to the kids about their reason for being a teacher. We collected almost $90 by asking students to contribute change in their favorite teacher's jar. The money will be used for a scholarship for a graduating senior majoring in Education. Also, the teacher with the most money in their jar was asked to "Kiss a Pig." There was quite a competition among a couple of teachers, but ultimately Coach Hoskinds did the honors!
