Special Programs
The vision of the Calico Rock School District is that "all students can achieve", therefore, we are committed to identifying and meeting the diverse needs of each student through individualized educational programming. It is our mission to work cooperatively with families, students, the community, colleagues and other professionals in order to promote each student's success and well being as he/she prepares for future endeavors.
Public Meeting Notice
The Calico Rock School District Office of Special Programs Invites K-12 Private Schools and Home School Families within the Calico Rock School District boundary to an informational meeting regarding the provisions of special education and related services. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 12 noon. Please come to the Calico Rock high school building located at 1 Pirate Place, Calico Rock, Arkansas.
The Calico Rock School District will not be in session November 25-29. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2.
Hope you have a wonderful break!
First of all, thank you to the caring and compassionate community we call Pirate Nation. ALL of our Angel Tree Cards have been taken from the tree. This will make some of our kids have a Christmas they otherwise would not be able to have.
Secondly, all Angel Tree gifts need to be turned in to the Highschool by December 9th. You are making a difference in a child's life.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
The students are working on a public service announcement for the good of the community in Oral Communications Class. One group did their PSA on not using alcohol. Creepy Uncle Dan was the epitome of not drinking. One group did a PSA on Suicide Awareness.
See the videos below:
We have about 25 names left on the tree if anyone would like to sponsor a student for Christmas this year! You can pick one up at the high school or if you're unable to come get one, we can send you a picture of one of the sheets!
Congratulations to Maegan James for joining the Air Reserve.

The Calico Rock EAST students are involved in STEM activities daily. Recently, they finished a project for the community where they learned braille and 3D printing to create door signs for the visually impaired.
